In Indonesia under permissive and courageous behavior of adolescent resulted premarital pregnancies cases increased from year to year, it reaches 2.3 million and 30% are committed by teenagers. In 2002-2004 the Unwanted Pregnancy (KTD) cases have increased 100% to children of junior high school age up to university students age (ages of 10-21 years). Research objectives to know the factors that influence the motivation of adolescent in preventing intercourse of premarital at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin. The study design was analytical research with Cross Sectional. The analysis used the chi square. The research result was found that lack knowledge in preventing intercourse premarital had 37 people (49,3%), quite knowledge as many as 27 people (36%), and good knowledge as many as 11 people (14,7%). The research result of lack perception in preventing premarital sexual relations as many as 47 people (62,7%), quite perception as many as 19 people (25,3%), and good perception as many as 9 people (12%). The research results of negative attitudes in preventing premarital sexual relations had 44 people (58,7%), and positive attitude as many as 31 people (41,3%). The research results of negative motivation in preventing premarital sexual relations as many as 48 people (64%), and positive attitude as many as 27 people (36%). From the research results were found that there was relationship among knowledge, perception, and attitudes with motivation of adolescent in preventing intercourse in premarital. The results of statistical tests on the significance of 0,000 (p < 0,05).
